We ensure that advertising, reprints, or any form of commercial revenue does not influence editorial decisions. Editorial independence is strictly maintained at all times.
Through this ethical framework, Jurnal Pariwisata Tawangmangu aims to provide a trusted platform for disseminating high-quality academic work in tourism studies.
Reporting Standards
Authors of original research articles must provide an accurate, clear, and objective account of the work performed and its significance. The manuscript should include sufficient detail and references to allow others to replicate the work. Misrepresentation, fabrication, or falsification of data constitutes unethical publishing behavior and is strictly prohibited. Review articles and professional commentaries must also be objective, accurate, and clearly distinguished from editorial opinions.
Data Access and Retention
Authors may be requested to provide raw data for editorial review and should be prepared to grant public access to such data, when possible, and retain it for a reasonable period after publication.
Originality and Plagiarism
All submitted manuscripts must be original works. Authors must appropriately cite or quote the work and/or words of others. Plagiarism in any form—such as copying, paraphrasing without acknowledgment, or presenting others’ research findings as one’s own—is unethical and unacceptable.
Multiple, Redundant, or Concurrent Publication
Authors should not submit the same manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously. Publishing substantially similar work in multiple venues without appropriate justification and permission is considered unethical. Exceptions may include translations or republications of guidelines, provided that the primary source is clearly cited and all parties agree to the secondary publication.
Acknowledgment of Sources
Proper acknowledgment of all sources is mandatory. Authors must cite all publications that have influenced their research. Information obtained privately, including personal communication or confidential peer review, must not be used without written consent from the source.
Authorship Criteria
Authorship should be limited to individuals who made significant contributions to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the research. All such contributors should be listed as co-authors. The corresponding author must ensure that all co-authors approve the final manuscript and consent to its submission. Contributions from individuals not qualifying for authorship should be acknowledged.
Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest
All authors must disclose any financial or other conflicts of interest that could influence the research. This includes affiliations, consultancies, stock ownership, grants, patents, or personal relationships. All funding sources should be disclosed in the manuscript.
Fundamental Errors in Published Work
If authors discover significant errors in their published work, they must immediately notify the editor and cooperate to issue corrections or retractions as needed.
