Abstract

The purpose of this community service activity (PkM) is to fulfill the obligation of lecturers to apply their knowledge, technology, and arts in order to improve public welfare, particularly among residents around the Simpang Selayang main market. A training session on the production of minyak karo (Karo traditional oil) was conducted so that participating housewives can eventually have side jobs or earn additional income. The training was held on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, and was attended by approximately 30 housewives. The result of the PkM activity showed that several participants had gained a proper understanding of how to make minyak karo correctly. The conclusion from this PkM activity is that it was highly beneficial for the housewives living around the Simpang Selayang main market. It is recommended that similar training be conducted again in the future.
