Abstract

One of the challenges faced by students from SMKN 2 Kendal in the survey of civil construction implementation was related to concrete testing in the field. In general, students from SMKN 2 Kendal have a basic understanding of civil engineering competencies but still encounter difficulties in certain areas, particularly in field concrete testing. Therefore, to enhance their competencies and fill gaps in the vocational school curriculum, training on field concrete testing was conducted. The training focused on concrete testing using the Hammer Test and UPV tools. Based on the questionnaire results, after the training, more than 50% of SMKN 2 Kendal students were able to accurately understand and apply concrete testing in the field using the Hammer Test and UPV, as well as analyze the test results. The hands-on training and intensive mentoring proved to be effective methods, making it easier for students to grasp the material provided. Additionally, 80% of students stated that the training was easy to understand.
